Golfer’s Elbow in Wilmington

What is Golfer’s Elbow?
Golfer’s elbow is a condition where pain is concentrated on the inner area of the elbow where the tendons of your forearm muscles attach to the bony bump on the inside of your elbow. No, you do not need to be a golfer to get golfer’s elbow but a sure fire way to get this condition is by routinely hitting divots, which is actually how the condition got its name.
How do we Treat Golfer’s Elbow?
We mainly treat this condition initially with a specific combination of ice, cold laser, soft tissue and manipulative techniques. Once symptoms decrease, we begin concentrating on the mechanism of injury which could have something to do with the joints of the arm, shoulder and even the spine. We also make recommendations for addition instruction from a qualified coach or trainer if necessary. Most patients recover pretty quickly as a result.
